International Port Codes

International Ports are main places that help to regulate goods being imported from the United States. They are used by the Department of Homeland Security as operational facilities. Airports, seaports, and land border crossings are places near which customs ports of entry are often located. These ports are created by the Deputy Assistant Secretary by authority from the Secretary of treasury. It has authority to establish, arrange, consolidate, and discontinue Customs ports of entry to fit the needs of the Customs Service.
